In 2015, Ericsson expanded its focus for the supplier diversity program and becoming a front line commercial function. We held our Annual Supplier Diversity Matchmaker event for the third year in a row. We offered a mentorship program, workshops and seminars, tier-two diversity reporting portal and provided scholarships and growth opportunities for diverse suppliers. Ericsson is committed to the utilization of Minority, Women and Disabled Veteran Businesses to maintain a "Best in Class" diversity program.
The Ericsson supplier diversity program received many accolades during 2015. Ericsson's Supplier Diversity Program was recognized as a Top Supplier Diversity Program for African Americans by the Black E.O.E. Journal. The program was also recognized as one of the best of the best for 2015 by Black EOE Journal and Professional Woman's Magazine. MBN USA magazine named Ericsson as one of its Corporate 101 list for 2015, representing the "Most Admired Companies" in supplier diversity. Dallas/Fort Worth Minority Development Council, By Those That Buy Us (BTTBU) recognized Ericsson's Best Practices Essay in their White Papers. Ericsson won the AT&T Supplier Diversity Crystal Award for a third year in a row. Ericsson was also named as one of 2015 America's Top Corporations for Women's Business Enterprises Top Corporation.
Ericsson’s Supplier Diversity Manager Anisha Jackson won the Ericsson 2015 Eagle Award, the highest honor awarded to Ericsson employees in North America, for Community Service and Corporate Image. She was also selected as a 2015 Top 25 Women in Power Impacting Diversity by DiversityPlus Magazine.
For 2016, our focus will continue to strengthen our program, sustaining our current offerings to achieve Ericsson's vision of the Networked Society where every person and every industry is empowered to reach their full potential.
