Are you striving to achieve business success while managing the costs for your core network investments?
A new report jointly published by Omdia, a global analyst and advisory company, and Ericsson reveals that opting for a full-stack 5G Core solution can reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) by up to 25 percent compared to multi-vendor deployments.
This report, based on a survey of 50 respondents from communication service providers (CSPs), offers valuable insights to help CSPs make informed decisions about deploying and configuring a cost-efficient 5G Core network architecture.
Key highlights include:
- Larger CSPs are increasingly choosing single-vendor solutions to avoid the complexities of multi-vendor deployments.
- Respondents from larger CSPs anticipate 16 percent to 25 percent TCO savings with a single-vendor full-stack solution, while those from small-to-medium companies expect savings between 10 percent and 20 percent.
- Both groups agree that reducing infrastructure costs is the primary driver for savings when implementing a combined 4G/5G Core. Notably, 48 percent of large operators foresee over 20 percent CAPEX savings with this approach.
