John has a focus on cryptography, security protocols, IoT, and trade compliance.
He joined Ericsson in 2007 and has been active in many different standardization organizations. In 3GPP, he had a great influence on IMS security and the cryptographic profiles. In IETF he worked on security protocols, especially for constrained IoT. He now works with standardization strategies and trade compliance. A current research topic is quantum computers and post-quantum cryptography.
John holds an M.Sc. in engineering physics from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, and an M.Sc. in business administration and economics from Stockholm University.
