Transition year work experience

Ericsson's Transition Year Program has been running since 1993. The week includes a combination of programming, a group project and an intro to a variety of technologies.

Each day is packed with different activities.  The aim of this week is that they will come away with a better understanding of what it is we do in Ericsson, but also how enjoyable a career in technology can be.

Applications are open from June to September, with a closing date of September 20th.

Girls in ICT

Investing in future Software Engineers Program believes that future of STEM studies as a career choice is exciting and we want to encourage as many females as possible to join the male dominated sector.

Each year we run a Girls in ICT activity within the Investing in future Software Engineers program. Every year we aim to have 50/50 gender intake in our Transition year program. In addition to this we host an all-girls transition year week in April to celebrate Girls in ICT day.

Career talks

Ericsson professionals volunteer their time to give career talks to local schools.

They walk through a day in the life of a software engineer and their path to Ericsson, thus allowing students the opportunity to see the possibilities a career in software engineering presents.

Contact Investing in future Software Engineers if you would be interested in receiving a career talk.

This program uses a “teach the teacher" approach to support upskilling of teachers in STEM, encouraging them to educate their students on the basics of coding. Ericsson Primary Introduction to Code promotes STEM from an early age and encourages the students to study STEM subjects as they progress to the secondary level education system.
