The future is programmable

So you may wonder, what have all these amazing videos got to do with Ericsson Digital Services, well we are glad you asked.

In the past there were three services—voice, sms and media. They were highly successful and lived for 140, 20, 10 years. The future is not as predictably homogeneous. However, every app needs a platform, a solid, secure and integrated platform. How we help our customers is that we build this secure platform (architecture) so that all of us who enjoy our data on mobile devices can feel safe to explore the future potential of a fully connected world. We have created a platform that is agile enough to cope with our evolving technology demands and one that is programmable so you can add apps and connectivity to …well….anything.

Studio tour highlights: technology trends in business

The videos below are solid proof points that demonstrates some of our capabilities. It’s not an exhaustive list, and we are constantly challenging ourselves to go further. As an established company, working a lot with regulatory bodies and governments, we have a deep understanding of the need for data security and data integrity.

Lars Magnus Ericsson, our founder in his wisdom over 140 years ago believed in "telephones for everyone" and since then we have worked hard to make his wish a reality, since the first phone was available for sale in 1887 and then we brought to the market the world’s first smartphone Ericsson R380, because we believe communication is a human right. We believe in innovating technology for good.

"Ericsson gave me the opportunity to get an insider view into their innovations and get a real, in-depth view of all the future possibilities within the telecom sector. I had the chance to see how the telecom landscape will be shaped in the coming years, such as the Smart City and Smart Home of tomorrow, the compelling potential of IoT applications, a car with 500 API’s, and the future capabilities of 5G and VoLTE. It was a truly unique and memorable experience."

"Visiting Ericsson Studio was an experience that made me marvel at how far technologies have advanced, even in the last 100 years. Inventions old and new were showcased and demonstrated live for us to experience hands-on for ourselves. This hands-on component brought tangibility to ideas, facts, and concepts that had previously been obscured by theory. Above and beyond this, my favorite part of the Ericsson Studio experience was the Ericsson people and culture. The people were so friendly and engaging—so excited!! It was immediately clear that Ericsson staff enjoyed a deeper sense of purpose behind the work they did. All of this combined made me wish that I could stay with Ericsson a little longer myself."
