Axel Hultman (1858-1932) worked as an assistant at the Royal Institute of Technology 1882-1885. Hultman then became the head engineer of the Stockholm Bell Telefonaktiebolag between 1885-88. Later he served as president of the same company 1888-90. Between 1890 and1903 Hultman worked as a telephone inspector at Televerket, the Swedish PTT, and between 1903 and 1918 he was the director of telephones there. During the years between 1918 and 1925 he was the head engineer of the two merged networks in Stockholm, run by Televerket.
