The goals are reviewed and reported annually and reflect our ambition to both mitigate risks and create value. Ericsson’s Net Zero emissions reduction target is validated as 1.5 C-aligned by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi).
      Environmental

      Portfolio energy performance

      In 2025, Ericsson achieved its target to reduce the energy consumption of typical radio base station sites by 40% compared with a 2021 baseline. Against this background, the Company has set a new goal to achieve a 50% reduction by 2027, using the same baseline year. 

      Value chain carbon emission reductions

      Long term: Net Zero GHG emissions in the value chain by 2024.

      Near term: Reduce total GHG emissions in the value chain by 50% and Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 90% by 2030, compared to a 2020 baseline. 

      Supply chain climate action

      Ericsson exceeded its 2025 supplier-engagement target, with more than 400 high-emitting and strategic direct suppliers having set their own 1.5 C-aligned emission-reduction targets. 

      Social

      Health and safety

      Zero fatalities and lost workday incidents. This target covers both own workforce and employees of field service suppliers. Ericsson will continue to prioritize the highest-consequence risks, strengthen safety programs, including contractor and supplier management, and ensure consistent leadership attention, resourcing and accountability. Reducing and ultimately eliminating work-related accidents remains a central focus of Ericsson’s health and safety efforts.
