India Mobile Congress, Asia’s biggest mobile, internet, and technology event, was themed on ‘Encapsulate, Engage and Experience’. The 4-day event included 5G demos, use cases, and panel discussions on different topics related to opportunities with and benefits of 5G for the country. Ericsson Leadership Team delivered keynote sessions and participated in panel discussions together with the C-suite of customers.
During the inaugural session of the India Mobile Congress, the Hon’ble Prime Minister visited the Ericsson booth wherein he drove the Remote Connected Vehicle located in Sweden using the 5G connection from IMC. The Prime Minister also announced the launch of 5G services in the country from IMC.
5G is powering exciting possibilities and creating never-seen-before opportunities for people and businesses around the world in countries where 5G has been launched. Its launch in India will play a pivotal role in realizing the country’s Digital India vision.
At the India Mobile Congress, Ericsson demonstrated 5G use cases for India such as- Immersive consumer experiences with 5G (cloud gaming, holographic communications), Enterprise use cases (smart manufacturing with 5G, 5G remote driving, Ericsson private 5G), AI for industry (AI exchange for industry 4.0, edge AI camera, smart rice in the metaverse), Connecting the unconnected with FWA, Healthcare, Networks of the future and more.
