Internet for all

We are committed to serving the next wave of internet users by making mobile broadband access more affordable and accessible for all.

Internet for all

At Ericsson we are convinced that providing internet access to the unconnected is both a great business opportunity and a powerful way to deliver on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our goal is to enable cost-efficient upgrade paths from 2G all the way to 5G and find viable ways to provide Internet for All.

From boosting livelihoods, promoting financial inclusion and gender equality, and improving access to health, education, government services and more, ICT is an essential part of our lives. It helps advance equality, democracy, and freedom of expression. We are strong advocates of the role of ICT to enable the realization of the UN SDGs to frame the global development agenda over the next years. Our outreach, partnerships and solutions seek to bring the benefits of mobile technology to everyone to create a more inclusive and sustainable world.

Connecting the unconnected

In support of the International Telecommunications Union Connect 2020 target of ensuring that more than 50% of people in the developing world have internet by 2020, we need to connect the unconnected. Mobile broadband and our technical innovations and solutions can help operators find sustainable and efficient ways to deliver connectivity to the world’s population who are currently without internet connection.
