Where my Ericsson journey began

Hi, I’m Paromita Ghosh. I’ve been with Ericsson for almost 15 years, and overall I bring more than two decades of industry experience.

I’m part of Service Delivery, where I work in business management and analytics. I work closely with cross-functional teams across regions to ensure our delivery commitments align strongly with business objectives, customer expectations, and long-term transformation goals.

I started my career in very hands-on, technical roles. Over time, I’ve evolved into more strategic, purpose-driven work, using data and insights to support delivery and business decision-making.

How my career evolved over time

I began as a CBCRM professional and then transitioned into project management, working on data warehouse and business intelligence initiatives. From there, I moved into Ericsson product deliveries, where I handled global billing implementations across multiple geographies.

As I grew in my leadership journey, I took on the role of Head of ISD CAC Cloud and Core. In that role, I led high-performing teams and delivered customised solutions across Ericsson Cloud and Core products, along with product-agnostic services.

Looking back, each step built on the previous one. I moved from hands-on technology to leadership and business management, gaining a broader perspective with every role.

What’s kept me at Ericsson for 15 years

What has truly kept me inspired and committed to Ericsson over the years are the people I work with, the purpose my work provides, and the possibilities that feel endless here.

From the very beginning, Ericsson’s culture of learning and internal mobility has been key to my growth. I’ve been encouraged to explore diverse roles, from technology and delivery to leadership and business-focused positions.

Early in my career, I was part of the Young Talent Program. Today, I have the privilege of leading and mentoring young talent myself. Being able to support others on their journey while continuing to learn myself is incredibly rewarding.

Mentorship has also played a major role. The guidance I’ve received from leaders at different stages of my career has been invaluable.

Flexibility that makes long-term growth possible

Equally important to me has been the flexibility and empathy Ericsson has shown.

While working with teams across the LATAM region, both my colleagues there and my local teams adjusted to accommodate my schedule and time zone. That support allowed me to maintain a healthy work-life balance while continuing to contribute effectively.

That balance has been key to sustaining both my personal growth and long-term professional commitment.

Staying relevant in a changing, AI-driven world

AI is transforming not just what we do, but how we think. It’s pushing us to focus more on judgment, creativity, and decision-making rather than routine tasks.

In this new landscape, the skills that matter most are learning agility, critical thinking, collaboration, and the ability to connect technology with real business impact.

Personally, I stay relevant by learning every day. I make a conscious effort to stay curious, whether that’s understanding emerging AI capabilities, strengthening my business acumen, or reflecting on how technology can be applied responsibly to solve real problems.

For me, relevance comes from the willingness to unlearn, relearn, and adapt continuously.

What inclusion means to me

To me, inclusion is about everyday actions. It’s about how we listen, how we engage, and how we create space for others to belong and contribute.

In my own work, I try to practice inclusion by listening actively, asking open-ended questions, and acknowledging contributions openly. I also make it a point to ensure that team discussions are balanced, where diverse opinions are welcomed and differences are seen as strengths, not obstacles.

A project that pushed me out of my comfort zone

One project that truly excited me and pushed me out of my comfort zone was a mobile money implementation for one of our major customers in Africa.

We were working with large-scale digital financial services platforms in a completely new market, with new technology and within a very different cultural context. The problem we were solving was enabling secure, reliable, and scalable mobile financial services for a large user base, many of whom were accessing formal financial services for the first time.

From a technology perspective, this meant quickly understanding a new ecosystem, integrating platforms, ensuring performance and reliability, and aligning delivery with strict timelines.

Beyond technology, the real learning came from working across cultures. The local teams were incredibly warm and collaborative, and success depended just as much on listening, adaptability, and trust-building as it did on technical expertise.

I had to step outside my familiar ways of working, learn fast, and lead with empathy while maintaining delivery rigor.

The solution went live successfully and contributed to expanding digital financial inclusion in the region. It reinforced something I strongly believe in. Great delivery happens at the intersection of technology, people, and purpose.

Looking ahead

After nearly 15 years at Ericsson, what continues to motivate me is the ability to grow, learn, and contribute in meaningful ways.

My journey here has been shaped by people, purpose, and constant evolution. I’m still learning, still adapting, and still excited about what’s possible.
