Airin Cherian

Airin Cherian currently serves as Head of Performance, Deployments and Intelligence at Ericsson, and is a member of the Product Line RAN Software leadership team. In this role, he leads a team responsible for shaping the strategic direction of 5G performance and advancing emerging 6G technologies, including AI-driven RAN solutions. He is based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Prior to this, Airin held leadership roles in product management and engineering in the United States across both large enterprises and startups, establishing a strong track record of driving innovation and successfully commercializing technologies deployed by Tier-1 service providers worldwide.

He combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and holds multiple patents in wireless communications. Airin has a Master of Science in Telecommunications from the University of Maryland, College Park - USA.
