Alberto Hata
Senior Researcher, Artificial Intelligence
Ericsson Research
São Paulo, Brazil
Alberto joined Ericsson in 2017 and since then has been working on problems related to industry 4.0, robotics and edge computing. In this context, he has contributed to solutions for safe human-machine collaboration through the application of AI and AI-based offloading for edge cloud. Novel ways of human-robot interaction, such as the application of extended reality for remote robot interaction is another topic of interest.
Alberto obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2016 from the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, where he worked on problems related to localization, mapping, and perception for autonomous vehicles and autonomous mobile robots. During his Ph.D studies, he also worked as a visiting researcher at University of Sydney, Australia, where he investigated Gaussian process and Bayesian learning techniques for robotics field.
