Alex leads a research section at the Ericsson Eurolab in Aachen with a research focus on the 6G network platform, including standardization for radio networks for 3GPP RAN and IEEE 802.11.
His main research interests are in applying AI for enhancing RAN capabilities and improving automation.
Alex has co-authored more than 40 publications on the topics of radio environment characteristics, wireless propagation, AI for RAN, and spectrum measurements. He is also a co-inventor of over 15 patents.
Alexandros holds a Ph.D in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, and two Master’s degrees in Communication Networks and Basic and Applied Cognitive Science from the University of Athens, Greece.
