Ali Cheema

Ali Cheema, is the Head of Government and Industry relations at Ericsson in Africa & Middle East. Ali has over two decades of experience working with ICT policies, Technology standardization, 4G/5G Mobile broadband networks and Radio Spectrum harmonization.

Motivated by his strong belief in the catalytic role of Mobile Broadband for socio-economic progress in a country, Ali is leading a team of experts to drive Ericsson’s ICT policy advocacy efforts across Middle East and Africa.

A seasoned campaigner at ITU Ali represented Ericsson at WRC15, WRC19 and served as a delegate of the United Arab Emirates at the ITU Plenipotentiary meeting PP18. Ali is also the chairman of Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA), spectrum group leading spectrum harmonization efforts in Arab Region.
