Billy Hogan 

Billy Hogan is a Principal Engineer and is based in Stockholm Sweden. For the past five years he has been responsible for driving solutions and strategy for Advanced Antenna Systems in 4G and 5G. 

Billy joined Ericsson in 1995 and he has held various technical and leader positions in Core and Radio Access Network (RAN) systemization and design through all the generations from 2G to 5G, including as a senior Specialist in RAN. He enjoys working with colleagues and customers in understanding needs, innovating solutions and defining strategic direction for the future. 

He is married with three children who keep him busy with their numerous activities. He has a wide range of interests and keeps active by walking and cycling and he also enjoys skiing with his family and trying to improve his golf swing. 

Billy holds a B.E. in electronic engineering from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and an M. Eng. in electronic engineering from Dublin City University, Ireland. He is a co-author of the recently published book "Advanced Antenna Systems for 5G networks deployments. Bridging the gap between theory and practice".
