Bob Gessel

Gessel has more than 35 years of experience in the telecom, communications and software industries. He has been with Ericsson for 25 years and is currently responsible for driving vision, business and technology innovation, strategic planning and execution. His focus areas include 5G, private networks, Industrial and Consumer Internet of Things (IoT), where he drives thought-leading transformation across the telecom and industrial sector. 

Gessel’s previous roles include consultant, entrepreneur, inventor, and founder of two startup companies as well as 16 years in R&D with Ericsson, Siemens and Northern Telecom.

He holds a B.Sc. in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
