Catalina Irurita

Catalina Irurita joined the LATAM North and Caribbean customer unit in 2019 as Head of M&C and GIR, based in Mexico City. Catalina leads the engagement and positioning strategy with different stakeholders such as customers, media, KOL, and partners around the 41 countries of the region.

Catalina has more than 17 years of experience in public relations and marketing, revealing and implementing communication and engagement strategies for global companies in Latin American markets.

She was previously Director of Communications and Sustainability for Millicom - Tigo for four years. Catalina was also Director of Public Relations of Colombia's Central Bank - Banco de la República de Colombia. She was responsible for institutional relations, public relations, and lobbying strategies for the different areas of the bank.

Catalina is a graduate in Social Communication from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia and has a Master's degree in Marketing and Corporate Communication from the Pontifical University of Salamanca.
