Charles Ribordy is a native Texan with over 30-yrs of telecommunications experience. Upon graduation with a B.S. Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University, he started his career with MCI Communications. While at MCI, he held a variety of data engineering positions that included expansions of their frame relay and IP networks and earned a M.S. Telecom System Management degree at Southern Methodist University. Charles left MCI to pursue opportunities at smaller companies that included technical sales at five (5) different start-ups in fixed access, soft-switching, IP and routing. In 2007, Charles joined Ericsson in Plano, TX through its acquisition of Entrisphere, Inc.
While at Ericsson, Charles held positions in the Market Area North America (MANA) transport solution development team initially in fixed access and later in mobile backhaul solutions using optical, microwave, and routing products. More recently, Charles has focused on 5G transport solutions leveraging optical and routing technologies including new transport architectures to support multi-access edge computing, network slicing, and Cloud RAN.
