His current research interests involve introducing AI technologies in the end-to-end network architecture, with the goal to achieve an autonomous cognitive network.
At Ericsson Research, Dinand has worked in a variety of technical leadership roles including concept development, prototyping and standardization. He holds 75+ patents. As a key contributor to fixed-mobile convergence solutions, he represented Ericsson in various standardization organizations.
Dinand joined Ericsson in 2000. He held positions as system manager and project manager in core network product development hardware and software design before joining Ericsson Research in 2007.
He received an M.Sc. cum laude in Computer Architectures and Intelligent Systems from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands.
