Erik Simonsson is Head of Industry 4.0 for Ericsson’s production landscape . Simonsson is a data-driven leader who is energized by diversity and challenges, sustainable change and adapting reality to new situations – both from a personal and professional perspective.

He has more than 24 years of experience within Ericsson in various positions, primarily in manufacturing and R&D, located in Sweden (Stockholm), the United States (Dallas) and Estonia (Tallinn).

Simonsson currently heads up Ericsson’s global Industry 4.0 organization, including Industry 4.0 implementations, data strategies and 5G adoption in manufacturing processes. With more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing, his focus is to continuously ensure that new technology and production practices are transforming manufacturing to stay on the cutting edge. Simonsson’s focus is on increasing productivity and enabling business value through new technology implementations with key elements of Industry 4.0.

Simonsson was educated in business and economics from Stockholm University.
