Freddie Södergren is Vice President and Head of Technology and Strategy for Business Area Networks in Ericsson. He is responsible for creating Ericsson’s Business Area Networks’ long-term business and technology strategies, including standardization efforts and system architecture evolution. He also provides strategic direction to how the company invests in existing and future networks portfolio.
Södergren joined Ericsson from McKinsey where he was a Partner. He led McKinsey Digital in Sweden and advised companies the telecom and technology sector on business and technology strategy as well as technology-enabled transformations. He also published a paper in June 2019, “Development in the mobility technology ecosystem – how can 5G help?”.
Södergren holds a Master of Science in Industrial Management from Linköping University. He is an enthusiastic home cook and enjoys playing video games with his children in his free time.
