Hala Mowafy
Strategic Advisor and Integration Engineer
At Ericsson, Hala Mowafy serves as a strategic advisor to major CSPs in North America architecting solutions to meet their evolving market needs.
Hala is currently serving as a Director on the SIP Forum Board. She previously served on the FCC Robocall Strike Force Consumer Empowerment working group. Today, she leads the migration of legacy databases to cloud platforms and defines display guidelines as part of anti-robocalling solutions.
Hala is recognized as the industry expert on the lucrative Caller ID-based family of services including Calling Name. Prior to Ericsson, she authored most of the service specifications and assisted the top telecom companies monetize their existing data products through a portfolio of Identity Management services that reduce e-Commerce and e-Health Fraud.
Hala believes in focusing on the end user needs and “keeping things simple”. Technology should not be the end product; simply the enabler of useful products. Hala is extending her broad service background to the conception and development of future 6G applications.
Hala holds a master’s degree in Telecommunications Management from Stevens Institute of Technology (New Jersey), and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Western New England University (Massachusetts).
