Ioanna Pappa

Ioanna’s research interests focus on AI/ML in RAN, RAN architecture and interfaces, and intent based architecture. She is part of the network interfaces and architectures team in Ericsson.

She joined Ericsson in 2007. After working in various technology areas related to fixed and mobile backhaul network architectures, she has worked with 4G and 5G RAN standardization.

Ioanna earned her PhD in Theoretical Physics and String Theory from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. She has held postdoctoral positions at the University of Stockholm, Sweden, and the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, specializing in String Theory and Cosmology.
