Magnus has a long history working on transport topics, especially related to real-time media. He has co-authored 29 RFCs (Request for Comments) in the IETF and contributed to 3GPP standards. His current research interests include Internet and transport protocol evolution and network architecture.

Magnus holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Luleå University of Technology, Sweden.
