In his current role, Mark is involved in the development of global spectrum strategies and policies for Ericsson. Also, Mark is responsible for domestic spectrum policy and is the prime interface on related issues for Ericsson in the U.S. In that capacity Mark responds to technical solicitations from FCC, NTIA, Congress, etc. on spectrum related topics that impact Ericsson’s products and solutions covering transport and access for commercial network systems. Mark also coordinates and participates in the development of technical criteria for domestic and global spectrum bands including proposals for emission masks, bandplans, co-existence, and operations. Mark serves on several advisory roles including Commerce Spectrum Management Advisory Committee (CSMAC). CSMAC advises the Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information at NTIA on a broad range of spectrum policy issues. Mark also has served as a U.S. delegate to the ITU World Radiocommuncation Conferences and as a selected delegate member of the U.S. WRC Advisory Committee (WAC) providing the FCC with spectrum policy recommendations in preparation for the WRC.
