Olof is also leading Ericsson's 3GPP radio access network standardization team.
He joined Ericsson in 2008 and has, over the years, actively contributed to the work in several standardization bodies such as 3GPP, ETSI and the ITU-R. He was the chairman of the 3GPP TSG GERAN and its Working Group 1 during the 3GPP study on new radio access technologies for Internet of Things leading up to the specification of NB IoT.
Olof is the leading author of the first and second edition of the book Cellular Internet of Things (Elsevier), has co-authored several academic publications and contributed to over 70 US patents.
He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering physics and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics, both from Uppsala University, Sweden.
