Senior Researcher, Networks
Patrik has been involved in 5G research and development for many years. His work has included concept development, system performance evaluation and 3GPP standardization efforts for LTE Advanced and NR, both as an individual contributor and as team leader for a RAN2 back-office team focused on carrier aggregation and dual-connectivity enhancements. He was part of the EU 5G research project mmMAGIC.
Patrik has been with Ericsson Research since 2014. He has worked with radio network architecture and protocols on topics related to dual-connectivity, carrier aggregation, inter-RAT mobility, LTE-WiFi interworking and wearables. He currently holds more than 50 patents in these areas. Patrik is now active with research beyond 5G.
Patrik received his PhD in applied physics from KTH, Royal institute of technology, Stockholm Sweden in 2013.
