Sanjay Bhandarkar

Sanjay Bhandarkar is a Sr. Commercial Contract Manager specialized in complex Contract Management. In his current role, he manages complex ICT contract between Ericsson and Tier 1/ Tier 2 Telecom Operators in North America. Sanjay has more than 25 years of experience in the Telecommunications Industry across several multinational companies and in many continents as well as setting up and running his own business successfully. Having played several roles across the cross section of the business from Sales, PMO, Operations and Transformation he brings holistic view to Contract Management from all spectrums of the business.   

Having worked for Ericsson for 16 years, Sanjay has also worked for Nokia, Siemens and Alcatel Lucent in various capacities for 9 years. He began his carrier with his own startup Telecom business before joining a Motorola JV to take on several “First of its Kind” Projects. During this time, he has managed and delivery Projects and Contracts over 4 Billion USD. 

Sanjay earned his bachelor’s degree in engineering from India followed by an MBA from University of Phoenix in the USA. He is a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and is a certified Principal Project Manager at Ericsson. He is also certified by International Association of Commercial Contract Management (IACCM) as an Expert Commercial Contract Manager and Advanced CCM Practitioner.  

He collaborates with wider team of the Telecom experts to study and research the Industry best practices, lessons learned and implementing the learnings into the business as usual ways of working. As a part the global CCM community, he provides guidance and mentorship to newer members seeking carrier path in the increasingly challenging CCM profile.
