Sebastian Faxér

Sebastian Faxér is based in Stockholm, Sweden and is a Strategic Product Manager within Product Line 5G at Ericsson responsible for Massive MIMO software solutions. 

He has a background in Ericsson Research working with standardization and concept development of 5G New Radio (NR) and LTE, focusing on multi-antenna techniques, physical layer design, coordination aspects and signal processing. Passionate about innovation and creating new technology, he has over 150 patents and was the recipient of the Ericsson Inventor of the Year award in 2020 for his contributions to the design of the 5G NR standard in the Massive MIMO area. He is also co-author of the book “5G New Radio: A Beam-based Air Interface”. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and exploring new places, staying active with running and skiing as well as playing music. 

Sebastian received his M.Sc. degree in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from Linköping University, Sweden, in 2014 and joined Ericsson the same year.
