Siva Muruganathan

Siva is a 3GPP RAN1 delegate working on 6G standardization. His standardization expertise is in the area of multi-antenna communications, distributed MIMO and reference signal design. He has been a Rapporteur for the 3GPP Release 15 study on LTE Aerials.

Before joining Ericsson, Siva held research/postdoctoral positions at BlackBerry Limited, CRC Canada, and the University of Alberta, Canada. 

Siva received his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Calgary, Canada, in 2008. He received the Inventor of the Year award from Ericsson in 2022, and the Fred W. Ellersick Prize from the IEEE Communications Society in 2021.
