Sorour Falahati

Sorour’s work focuses on the physical layer design aspects in the scope of 3GPP standardization. She has been a RAN1 delegate for Ericsson since 2014, and has had the vice-technical coordinator role for the Ericsson RAN1 delegation since 2018.

Sorour received her B.Sc. degree in 1994 from Sharif University of Technology, Teheran, Iran and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Digital and Wireless Communications from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden in 1997 and 2002, respectively. She was part of the research group at Uppsala University, Sweden, before starting her career at Ericsson Research in 2005.

Sorour won the Ericsson Inventor of the Year award in 2021.
