Vidit is a Senior Data Scientist at Global AI Accelerator (GAIA), AI Hub Sweden, where he works at the intersection of machine learning and wireless technologies. Prior to GAIA, he has spent several years at Ericsson Research developing next-generation concepts for the 3GPP telecom standards. Vidit’s research interests span reinforcement learning, RLDevOps, and physical-layer algorithms.
Vidit received his BS from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, in 2009, and MS from the Lund University, Sweden, in 2014, both in Electrical Engineering. In 2021, Vidit received his PhD degree from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden, with a thesis on reinforcement learning theory and algorithms for wireless link adaptation. His doctoral work was supported by a scholarship from the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP). During Fall 2018 and Summer 2019, Vidit has been a visiting scholar at RISELab, University of California, Berkeley.
