Get to know our colleagues
Here at Ericsson, people thrive in a multicultural and truly diverse global company while they create innovations and game-changing technology that define the future. Our people are key to ensuring our company’s future success and our continued technology leadership.
András Attila Gerendás, Security System Manager
I can freely speak to another one at Ericsson. Your experience and role don’t matter when you need support, there is no different treatment just because you have a different role. What matters is the quality of your idea.
Ákos Ferenc Somfai, Master Developer
You can change and experience different roles. You can start as a software developer and be in an operational role then back to technical. This allows us to get as much experience as possible in more than one role type.
Hristina Gulabovska, Developer
At Ericsson, I have an unlimited space to learn and grow. I enjoy my work, through which I contribute to developing leading network technologies. I have a great team, and I can develop my soft skills in an agile scrum work environment.
Krisztina Barta, Developer
As a developer at Ericsson, I am part of a global team, that allows me to develop professionally and personally. I am excited to work on technologies and tool behind the networks used by millions of people around the world. My job allows me to discover new technologies and try to solve some of the world's greatest challenges. We work on creating connections that make the unimaginable possible.
Zsófia Kőrösi, Developer
I came to Ericsson to do my university professional practice. I am so glad that after graduation I decided to stay here as an employee. I plan to stay for a long time because I am part of a creative team, and the atmosphere is always friendly. I can also work with a flexible schedule. I am sure I will make lifelong memories here.
Gergő Vladiszavlyev, Software Developer
I love my job because it is diverse. I face many exciting challenges, and I can use different technologies in many projects. In addition to this, our company supports continuous development and learning. We also have a great team, delicious coffee, flexible working hours, and even career opportunities abroad.
Maria Alejandra Abad Sojos, Software Developer, Scrum Master
I worked here as an intern for a year, and recently I became a full-time colleague. At the beginning, it was interesting to learn about how our company operates and the logic behind the processes. When your coworkers see you as a problem-solver, you get more exciting tasks and learning opportunities.
Péter Bornemissza, Area Product Owner
I like working here, at Ericsson. My colleagues are great professionals and good people. We tackle serious challenges, and during the process, we learn a lot from each other and also share successes together. We develop our products along technical and business challenges, while we work on products that are literally used all over the world.
Tamás Balogh, Developer
One of my teachers recommended me to send my application to Ericsson for a C++ intern position and this is how I started my career here. Now, I am a full-time employee. It was convenient that I could work with flexible hours, and before my final exams, I could leave for a month to prepare, which all my colleagues approved. There are many opportunities for interns here, both to contribute and learn new skills in different projects.
Kornél Tamás, Developer
I spent my compulsory internship, here, at Ericsson and after that I decided to join the internship program during which I got to work on a project that was already running. From the first day, I was pleased to be part of such a new and complex work process and I felt that I was a useful member of the team all along. At first, I fixed warnings supervised by my colleagues, which were immediately installed into the live software. After the end of my internship, I was happy to join the company as a full-time colleague.
Kristóf Horváth, Developer
I love the technology here, and our new software are highly competitive on the market. Most of the development is done in Hungary and we work together with colleagues from Sweden; therefore, traveling can be a part of your job. I started at here as a student but I never felt that I was ”just a student.” I always had the opportunity to speak up, and my colleagues were supporting me along the way.
Giorgi Maniev, Support Engineer
We work for our clients every day by helping them with a simple consultation, an urgent system recovery, or even with solving complex technical problems. Here at Ericsson, you can be an active part of technological development and innovation, working in a friendly and cheerful company and corporate culture. If you are looking for a company that specializes in advanced technologies and is culturally diverse, our company will definitely be a good choice for you.
Tamás Lángh, Product Owner
When I started here as an intern, I was afraid that working will be like university. I thought I would be evaluated based on my results only. It turned out that if I ran into a problem that I could not deal with I either got help from a colleague or somebody took over the task. Back in 2012, I started as an intern and over the years I climbed up the ladder. Currently, I work as a Product Owner and I have some Project Manager tasks at the same time. I think proactivity matters the most if you want to learn and achieve more.
Balázs Gibizer, Master Developer
Eleven years ago, I started working as an intern here at Ericsson, while I was doing my master's degree. Currently, I have colleagues worldwide, so (when possible) I travel a lot so that we can work in person or participate in a conference together. As an intern, I really liked the supportive environment that prevails in the company. I would recommend beginners to join our company to gain professional experience in their field of expertise and talk to people who are already professionals. In general, our internship programs create a great opportunity for students to gain the necessary practical knowledge and experience.
Miklós Aurél Rónai, Line Manager
I joined our company as an intern in 1999, and I have been working here ever since. What I love about this company is that it is full of opportunities. I worked in Ireland for two years, and after I returned, I could continue my work as an even more experienced leader. Swedish work culture is strong within the organization. That is why I think it does not matter where you work from or how much time you spend with a task; the most important thing is to get the job done. I think this company is a great place for young professionals to gain professional experience.
László Ossik, Experienced Developer
More than two years ago, I participated in the Ericsson Programming Championship (programming competition organized for students), where I worked together with a student partner on couple programming tasks. After the Championship, I received a request from the company to join their internship program. I have been working here ever since, and now I am a full-time employee. As a student, I loved that the company was close to my university and represented a flexible attitude, so I could finish my studies and do my job at the same time. In my current tasks, I enjoy applying my knowledge that I gained at university and constantly increase it with new skills.
Ádám Zlatniczki, Data Scientist
One of the best parts of my job is that it is never boring. I have to learn a lot from different areas of telecommunications to get my tasks done and to come up with new, more complex ideas. Every new task is a new challenge that needs to be solved differently than the previous ones, which I find exciting. It is great that I get to work closely with colleagues around the world, whether they are data scientists, experts, or developers. Corporate culture here is one of the best! Most people are open and helpful, so working together is especially fun.
József Pletser, Agile Coach, Scrum Master
I started working here as a student in 2011. Many things happened since then: I became a Scrum Master, then an Agile Coach, and now, along with my project works, I am an Internal Coach. I started the hackathon project at Ericsson Hungary, during which we put together internal trainings with a few enthusiastic Agile Coaches. Since the pandemic, we have organized knowledge sharing sessions to help teams in the challenges of online space. During the past nine years, I have learned and taught a lot and I still feel like I have opportunities for improvement, with support from my managers.
Mónika Hortobágyi, Operative Product Owner
Three years ago, I started as a Software Developer Intern here at Ericsson. After that, I continued as a student, and now I am working full time, partly on the same project. Currently, I am also working at another department as a Scrum Master (IMS Cloud Native). There are many interesting areas within the company such as, 5G, Industry 4.0 or edge cloud. I am happy to gain more experience here in an agile working environment. In the construction of professional development and relationship network, it is a huge advantage that we have the opportunity to present our technology solutions at events both here and abroad. I have gained many funny, exciting experiences here, and I hope there will be many more to come!
Zsuzsanna Rédei, Master Developer
I started working here in April 2020. I have been working in software testing for almost 20 years, yet now I can get to know an area in the world of nonfunctional testing and characteristics that are exciting and new to me. Add to this the fact that because of working at home, I had to develop new habits and new working methods, saying goodbye to my established routines. Fortunately, I have received a lot of help here and I still learn a lot from my colleagues although I have not even had the opportunity to meet all of them in person. In addition to professional support, I also received help from our company to create my small work environment at home.
Szilveszter Nádas, Senior Researcher
I have worked for Ericsson Research since 1998, and I started as an undergraduate intern and I also wrote my M.Sc. thesis here. After writing my thesis, I spent two months in Ericsson Sweden and I cooperated closely with a development unit responsible for HSPA (the first “real” mobile broadband technology). It was amazing to see how a huge project effort, in which I also participated, created something that changed the world. During that collaboration, I learned how to effectively transform my ideas to inventions. Since 2001, I wrote close to a hundred inventions. I also had the opportunity to cooperate with many people: my colleagues in research, developers, and university partners. I think that apart from protecting our research efforts, it is also a useful to condense ideas and think about what a novel idea is.
Santeri Anttalainen, Head of Customer Care
I have been working for the company in the field of research and development for almost 25 years. I started as a developer, but soon switched to system design. For some reason, I’ve always been attracted to the side of development that clients encounter, because that’s the part where theory becomes practice. I am currently responsible for the quality and operation of the IoT Accelerator service. It feels fantastic to be part of a team that has created the largest global communication system for humanity. IoT Accelerator is leading this system to a new field, as business growth is now driven by machine-to-machine connections.
In my work, challenges and successes go hand in hand. The challenge is to draw a picture of reality from small pieces of knowledge. It’s a very rewarding feeling when we can present a solution to an extremely complex problem to clients. I didn’t get bored at the company for a minute and I learn something new every day. As a project ends, the next challenge is already there. Ericsson is an always-leading, secure, strong company, a leader in business and innovation. Test yourself here, come and join us!
MTAS Sentinels Team
We really enjoy working as a member of the MTAS Sentinels team. Over the years, we have become well accustomed and can help each other and work together effectively. Our interests are the same but we have different background knowledge, which we can forge to our advantage. We have a balance between serious work and humor during our meetings. In the current situation, we work from home and receive adequate support for this. We love that we have confidence in how we divide tasks, how we manage our time, and the management support us with our creativity as well. We feel that our work has results soon, we get feedback all the time from colleagues, and they acknowledge the results while also reporting the mistakes. We warmly recommend our company to beginners and students a well.
MTAS Blobs Team
We love working together as creative members of the Blobs team. We like common brainstorming sessions and we are always open to new ideas. Dymamic and efficient meetings are part of our everyday lives, as are short discussions, full of jokes. Our team gets a lot of freedom in technical solutions. We all have different technological backgrounds, so we can come up with professionally grounded but varied implementations. We strongly recommend Ericsson to recent graduates and experienced applicants as well.
Support Delivery Unit Team
We love working with the latest technologies. As a system support engineer, we can deal with complex systems, not just a small part of something. This is a serious challenge, but this is exactly why it is so exciting and inspiring at the same time. We are part of a never ending learning process where we feel like our work matters every moment. We also enjoy the variety of tasks: one day we work with a 5 G network in Japan, the next day we have a Cloud based system in Australia. And not only modern technology is what we admire, but also coworkers and human society. Ericsson is an international environment where we get the opportunity to meet so many cultures from here in Budapest.
