The Near Shore Center (NSC) was established in 2012 to address the growing need of high specialized competence center in System Integration. Designed to operate both centrally and remotely, it provides  center of excellence and cost-effective structure positioned close to business operations (CUs) and sensitive client needs. Its primary goal was to overcome challenges related to data privacy, time zones, and language barriers that traditional global delivery centers often face.

History

Since 2015, the NSC has expanded its scope from executing OSS and ADM services for France and Spain to including Packet Core & Communication Services, IT Infrastructure, and Business Support Solution, while extending its reach across Europe and Latin America.

By 2021, the NSC was fully integrated into the Service Delivery organization Cloud Software and Services (CSS SD) belonging to Market Area Europe & Latin America, overall supporting with approximately 1,300 professionals across 6 main countries.

NSC supports all Customer Units (CU) across Europe and South America. In Italy NSC has a strong presence in Rome, Naples, Milan, Venice, and Genoa.

Over the past three years, the Service Factory, a new concept developed by NSC to secure higher level of service delivery industrialization and automation capabilities,  has delivered services with well-defined scope and costs, offering a catalog of 150 services and completing 2,500 service executions in just 12 months.

The NSC is a driver of industrialization, leveraging Agile methodologies and tools shared across virtual teams, including Service Delivery Units (SDUs) worldwide. It plays a pivotal role in advancing Automation, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment to meet the demands of Cloud-Native Solutions.

Since its inception in Italy, the NSC’s journey highlights strategic choices, the ability to capitalize on market opportunities, and a commitment to active participation in transformative initiatives that will shape the future.

All this is made possible on the basement of the talent of our engineers and on our organization capabilities to further develop and fast integrate service delivery capabilities on the latest technologies, among with 5G CORE, Cloud Infrastructure, Network Management, Automation & Orchestration, covering all aspects related to Telecom Networks life cycle, including network engineering/design, software deployment, configuration, integration, customer acceptance, network optimization & performance improvement, customer support, network administration.
