David, Consultant

One thing that is truly unique about SPP is the exposure you are guaranteed to get at such an early stage in your career. Together with talented and inspiring colleagues, you solve complex business problems that Ericsson's top executives are facing on a daily basis.

Amanda

Amanda, Engagement Manager

During my time here, I've been exposed to a great variety of projects and worked in many different teams. In each engagement I've developed in a specific way: in some I learned to master Excel and other "hard" skills; in others I learned about group dynamics and influencing stakeholders to maximize impact.

Johan

Johan, Managing Principal

I found the idea of working more dedicated with a leading global company while maintaining the aspects that I really like with consulting very appealing.

Education and previous experience

Linköping University: Master’s in Industrial Engineering and Management.

What do you think defines your role at Ericsson?

Being a management consultant at Ericsson allows me to bring my two interests together, business and technology. I have worked with everything from defining Ericsson’s XR (Extended Reality) strategy, to geopolitics.

What is the most memorable assignment you have been part of so far?

That would have to be co-developing the Ericsson XR strategy across the whole company. The project involved many senior stakeholders and collaboration, while focusing on a very exciting topic that is on the agenda for any tech company across the globe.

Education and previous experience

KTH Royal Institute of Technology: Master's in Industrial Engineering and Management.

How have you developed during your time at SPP?

During my time here, I've been exposed to a great variety of projects and worked in many different teams. In each engagement I've developed in a specific way: in some I learned to master Excel and other "hard" skills; in others I learned about group dynamics and influencing stakeholders to maximize impact. The greatest source of learning has actually been the clients themselves – seeing them work and interact in the corporate structure has taught me a lot about leadership and getting things done.

Who would be the perfect fit for Ericsson Management Consulting?

In my mind, there is not one Ericsson Management Consulting personality type that fits straight into the box, but rather a person who (1) share our values of professionalism and respect, (2) gets motivated by daily team challenges and personal development, and (3) is curious to always learn more and find possible improvements.

Education and previous experience

Chalmers University of Technology: Master's in Industrial Engineering & Management, Gothenburg School of Economics: Bachelor in Financial Economics.

Joined SPP in 2019 after six years at A.T. Kearney and before that five years at Accenture Strategy.

What attracted you to SPP?

I found the idea of working more dedicated with a leading global company while maintaining the aspects that I really like with consulting very appealing. I had already worked with Ericsson extensively as an external consultant and had a very positive view of the company and the people working there.

How does working in SPP compare to working as an external consultant?

Working at SPP is in many ways very similar to working at a top tier strategy consulting firm. The main differences are that you are working for one company all of the time and that SPP has a closer relationship with the key senior stakeholders and top management in Ericsson and is continuously engaged in defining the long term strategy for Ericsson.

Collaboration and diversity is at the heart of how we work

We believe that a group of highly motivated consultants works best in a collaborative environment with strong diversity. Our consultants represent a wide variety of personal and professional backgrounds, and numerous nationalities. Mutual respect and teamwork are our core tenets, while we maintain a highly meritocratic culture. All this while not forgetting to have fun along the way.
