What do you do here at Ericsson?

I am working in Ericsson Research Traffic Lab with workload placement for distributed cloud. More specifically, I introduce a workflow to enrich Ericsson’s TOCSA Orchestrator lifecycle management definitions with on-demand placement recommendations.

Tell us about your typical day?

I usually do thirty push-ups to wake me up and then I take a cold shower to calm me down. This gets me in the mood to work. On reaching the office, I usually finish what I couldn’t the day before and then start working on the next feature or item on my agenda. After lunch, I talk with my manager about my progress and he gives me advice on how to improve and helps me with any issues that might have come up. After that, I continue working on whatever I was working, considering my earlier conversation with my manager.

Have you been given any career advice you feel will be useful in your future career?

No, not really. I am focused on continual, incremental improvement at my profession. I think that is probably the best way to get good at what you do, and it makes me feel really great to have improved compared to where I was, say a month ago.

What do you know now that you didn’t know before?

I thought Ericsson only made cellular equipment but working at Ericsson Research made me realize just how many different things Ericsson does.
