Rural coverage solution


A power grid supply remains one of the biggest challenges in maintaining coverage in remote areas, which leads to a heavy dependence on diesel generators.


Ericsson successfully deployed the world’s first three-technology site (2G, 3G and LTE) in three bands (900, 1800, 2100 MHz).


The solution runs on less than one kilowatt of power and the dependency on diesel-based energy has been completely removed.
