AirHop Auptim® AI/ML Energy Savings Multi-Carrier Management rApp
Auptim AI-powered ESMC rApp dynamically determines when coverage carrier(s) can effectively service the changing traffic demand and turn capacity carrier(s) on/off to minimize energy consumption while maintaining high user service levels. The ESMC rApp can be deployed in 4G and 5G networks supporting O-RAN and traditional RAN deployments.
Reduced power consumption
In a multi-carrier deployment, Auptim ESMC rApp uses an AI-based traffic prediction model to dynamically manage the low energy state of capacity carrier(s) to optimize trade off of available RAN capacity and energy consumption. ESMA dynamically turns off carriers during low traffic conditions and supports operation in 4G and 5G networks.
Reduced OpEx
Since RAN power consumption contributes to roughly 70% of RAN operating expenses, reduction in power consumption by the Auptim ESMC rApp directly contributes to reduction in operating expenses of a RAN.
Maintain End User QoE
Auptim ESMC rApp monitors end user Quality of Experience (QoE) to make intelligent trade off decisions on when capacity carriers must be available to maintain a high end user QoE, disabling the low energy state. In operation, user accessibility is effectively maintained at nearly 100%, and PRB utilization headroom is maintained to support rapid spikes in traffic demand.
