Dr. Sibel Tombaz

Dr. Sibel Tombaz is appointed as President and CEO of Ericsson Korea Partners from April 1^st 2025. She is also a member of Ericsson’s Market Area North East Asia leadership team.

Previously, Dr. Tombaz served as the Head of Product Line Cloud and Purpose-Built 5G RAN at Ericsson in Stockholm, Sweden, where she managed the Profit and Loss (P&L) and lifecycle for Ericsson's global 5G and Cloud RAN products. Under her leadership, her team developed groundbreaking software solutions to create open, high-performing, programmable networks, achieving exceptional service quality, optimized total cost of ownership (TCO), and revenue growth. These technologies continue to revolutionize industries, creating significant benefits for customers and society.

Dr. Tombaz joined Ericsson in 2014, holding several key positions in research and product management. Her contributions include pivotal work on 5G concept development, use cases, and energy performance in radio access networks. Notably, she initiated and introduced Ericsson's award-winning Spectrum Sharing innovation, enabling operators to smoothly transition from 4G to 5G using existing spectrum bands.

She holds a Ph.D. in Communication Systems from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm.
