Through Connect To Learn, Ericsson equips youth with digital skills to thrive as innovators and future leaders in a connected world.
In a world where connectivity, automation, artificial intelligence, and cloud technologies are reshaping every industry, digital skills have become a gateway to opportunity. Yet millions of young people remain excluded from meaningful participation in the digital economy. Bridging this divide requires more than internet access — it demands practical knowledge, hands-on learning, and pathways into future careers.
Digital skills are no longer optional — they are foundational to participation in today’s economy and society. Through Connect To Learn, Ericsson empowers youth with the knowledge and confidence to navigate, shape, and lead in a rapidly evolving digital world. By combining access to connectivity with high-quality digital education, we help bridge the gap between academic preparation and the real demands of the ICT and telecom industries.
Skills that shape the future
Building foundational and future-ready skills
Our approach spans the full learning journey — from early exposure to advanced university-level skills. Programs such as Ericsson Digital Lab introduce children aged 11–16 to robotics, coding, AI, and electronics through hands-on experiences, transforming them from passive users into confident creators.
At the university level, the Ericsson Educate platform offers free, self-paced modules in 5G, IoT, automation, AI, cloud, and cybersecurity. The Ericsson Educate 21st Century Technologies program builds core digital literacy and industry awareness, while 5G University provides in-depth technical training that bridges academic theory with real-world telecom practice.
Together, these programs equip learners to apply emerging technologies in real contexts — enhancing employability and supporting sustainable workforce development.
Linking skills to opportunity
Digital transformation creates opportunity — but only for those equipped with the right skills. Connect To Learn ensures that young people gain competencies aligned with industry needs, enabling them to pursue careers in telecom, IT, and emerging digital sectors.
By integrating practical simulations, scenario-based learning, and digital credentials, our programs reinforce applied knowledge and recognize achievement. Learners who complete courses receive verified digital badges, enabling them to showcase their skills to employers and academic institutions
Scalable impact, sustainable growth
Since 2010, Connect To Learn has reached more than 560,000 children and youth across 45 countries, expanding access to digital education at scale.
Our model combines partnerships with governments, universities, customers, and civil society to ensure that digital skills initiatives are locally relevant, inclusive, and sustainable.
By empowering youth with meaningful digital skills, we are not only strengthening individual career pathways — we are helping build the digitally skilled workforce essential for innovation, economic resilience, and inclusive growth in the connected world.
