Access to education

We are committed to improving educational opportunities for girls and boys around the world through the use of technology. Investments in technology for education are a requirement to improve access to quality education and the development of digital skills for the future workforce.

SDG 4 aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.” While this goal stands on its own, we believe that education is an important cornerstone in achieving several other SDGs as well.

The goal of Connect to Learn is to provide access to quality education for those most in need, especially for girls. Students without even a basic education have diminished economic opportunities and are more vulnerable to poor health, early and forced marriage and other forms of violence. Quality education prepares young people –girls and boys alike– for economic and personal empowerment and can have a dramatic effect on national economies.

Connect to Learn multi-year, multi-country experiences" report which describes the program’s approach, evolution, interventions and challenges, as well as examining recent developments in the field of ICT-integrated education.
