To succeed in this highly competitive 5G market and capitalize on new top-line growth opportunities, will require CSPs to evolve their network operations. However, the path to ‘breaking the 5G operations curve’ won’t be easy – today’s network services are delivered over multiple layers, with network management and the delivery of service level agreements (SLAs) often being quite complex. Reducing this complexity will require the help of various tools that make processes more efficient and simplified – from provisioning, orchestration or automation. Ensuring service quality will also be a challenge.
To deliver on your service through this new more dynamic network efficiently requires a handful of capabilities. Having the right tools and capabilities in place enables a smoother journey. Something we will cover more about in our upcoming event – the OSS Summit 2021.
What is the OSS Summit?
The OSS Summit is a unique opportunity for the global community of telecommunications professionals and experts to meet physically or virtually, share experiences, and discuss the latest topics, innovations and use cases.
Ericsson has been running the annual OSS Summit since 2012. Each year more than 80 CSPs participate in the event. It’s a great way to bring the CSPcommunity together, to share what’s happening in the industry and create new business opportunities.
What to expect at the 2021 OSS summit
The agenda will be packed with discussions on key topics related to this year’s theme, ‘Breaking the 5G operations curve through orchestration and intelligent automaton,’ such as:
- OSS strategy evolution
- Automated end-to-end (E2E) network slicing
- Next generation RAN automation – Service Management & Orchestration(SMO)
- Enabling enterprise services across multi-cloud (Private Edge, HCPs etc.)
- Data and intelligence handling in 5G
- Network security
The OSS Summit 2021 will be held virtually and is hosted by T-Mobile together with co-hosts Ericsson. The summit will feature keynote speakers, and panel discussions from leading CSPs, Ericsson and industry analysts.
Ziad Belhadj, Chairman of the summit and Global Head of Ericsson Orchestration and Service Management Sales Support says: “The OSS summit is a unique, annual summit that brings leading CSPs together. It’s an opportunity to learn from industry leaders, meet other colleagues, share customer success stories and discuss cutting-edge technology and the latest industry trends
