My career journey: 13 years of opportunities and growth
In today’s rapidly evolving corporate landscape, fostering an environment of equal opportunity is not just a corporate mandate—it’s a cultural necessity.
With my two decades of experience, I have been a part of three big corporate families. Yeah, I grew up – as a professional and an individual – so they were family. For the last 13 years, I have been working at Ericsson and the company truly embodies this principle, ensuring that every individual is empowered to contribute, thrive, and succeed.
One of the most remarkable things about Ericsson is our commitment to nurturing talent based on skills and potential, rather than factors like gender, background, or any other biases. This focus creates a level playing field where each of us is encouraged to take ownership of our roles and pursue growth without limitations. As our CEO says, we are all CEOs of our own careers.

Leadership at Ericsson is not just about guidance; it’s about fostering a culture of inclusivity and support. Leaders actively engage in open discussions, ensuring every voice is heard. Where speaking up is a culture, no voice is left unheard.
Whether it’s flexible work arrangements, mentorship programs, or initiatives aimed at improving diversity and inclusion in the workplace, most of our company initiatives reflect this ethos. Every policy is crafted to support the vast and diverse workforce in meaningful ways. Policies here are not just about compliance; they are about creating an ecosystem where everyone can thrive, with transparency and integrity.
Continuous learning is another pillar of our workplace culture that has hugely aided me in my career growth. AI-enabled learning paths in Degreed make learning both convenient and fun for everyone. Critical Skills are defined and aligned to the vision and mission of the organization. The Talent Management team ensures that all employees have the opportunity to upskill and remain competitive in their field. Learning is my way of living, and I believe in the grow and give policy rather than the go-and-get. Therefore, I always set aside some time for self-paced learning and certifications and also encourage my fellow colleagues to do so.
What makes our workplace even more special is our celebration of diversity. Ericsson actively recognizes the diverse talents and backgrounds of our employees through a wide range of initiatives, cultural events, and open forums. This commitment to diversity not only enhances collaboration but also makes every individual feel valued and respected.
As I reflect on my 13-year career journey, I’m grateful for the equal opportunities my organization has provided me with. From participating in impactful projects to receiving mentorship and career guidance, every step of the way has reinforced my belief in the power of an inclusive work environment.
At Ericsson, we believe equal opportunities are not just an idea – it’s a reality we live by. It inspires me to contribute my best, knowing that my efforts will be recognized and rewarded on merit. Most importantly, it motivates me to support others in their journeys, creating a ripple effect of empowerment. The commitment to equality doesn’t only benefit individual contributors like myself; it strengthens the organization and our people culture as a whole. By fostering diversity and inclusivity, we are building a workplace that’s resilient, innovative, and ready for the future.
Growing from the position of a Senior Solution Integrator to a General Manager, I can confidently say Ericsson fosters growth and professional development. As I get ready for the next level of growth with Ericsson’s career support, I know I will be fully supported and empowered to achieve my aspirations. I am proud to be part of a workplace where equality is not just a policy but a fundamental value, driving success for everyone involved.
