He is responsible for hardware and software Radio Access Network Access (RAN) portfolios as well as chipset and device partnerships, spectrum strategy, and new business incubation.
Prior to this role, Manssour spent six years at Ericsson-LG in South Korea where his main areas of responsibility included leading 5G trials, R&D collaboration with partners as well as prototyping and commercialization of many flagship Ericsson solutions such as the Ericsson Lean Carrier in the South Korean market. He has also held several positions within product development of commercial LTE networks and worked with future technologies at Ericsson Research and R&D as a research engineer with more than 25 patents to his name.
Manssour was one of the key Ericsson people behind the 5G trials with KT held during the 2018 winter sporting events in PyeongChang, South Korea, which provided spectators a glimpse at the 5G future.
Manssour holds a Master of Science degree in Wireless Systems from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm where he is also completing his Ph.D. in Telecommunications Engineering. He is a published author of several articles in scientific journals and conference proceedings such as the Journal of Electric and Computer Engineering and the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology.
