The Austin R&D Center brings Ericsson Silicon Design closer to our customers in North America and taps into the highly skilled workforce and partner ecosystem in and around Austin. Since its launch in 2017, it has evolved into a state-of-the-art facility, with three teams working together to deliver the end-to-end silicon development of Ericsson Radio Systems. Together, we've developed an Ericsson Silicon range of System on a Chip (SoC), and a smart, slim, sustainable 5G RAN portfolio.

ASIC Hardware Development

Developing high-performance, efficient ASICs for Ericsson 5G network systems through innovations in architecture, front-end RTL design, integration, and verification.

RAN Compute Software

Developing 5G RAN Compute software, rApps, and tools that power industry performance milestones and support innovation across the Ericsson RAN portfolio.

Silicon Productization Engineering

Ensuring product quality through high performance reliable ASICs built with enhanced observability, rigorous validation, advanced packaging and predictive AI analysis.
