Meet Philip Ayiku Dzagbletey, RF Developer

Meet Philip Ayiku Dzagbletey sitting outside.

I am Philip Dzagbletey and I come from Ghana. 3 years ago, I onboarded the Ericsson train here in Rosenheim and it has been a good ride so far. I trained as a Radio Antenna Engineer in South Korea for 8 years prior to joining Ericsson.  My current work involves research and development of new radiating components and full antenna simulation workflows.

 My journey

Joining Ericsson has been transformational to my career. Everyday, I interact with highly conscientious and intelligent colleagues who keep me on the edge of innovation and technical astuteness. There is never a dull day in the office where my mind isn’t challenged to push beyond the limits. I work with colleagues from different departments than mine including Mechanics, Building Practice, Strategic Sourcing, and software development. This has enriched my understanding of product research and development; something I never had prior to joining Ericsson. Almost everyone is friendly and ready to give me an opportunity to either learn or show what I know. That is very empowering!

The ability to speak candidly without fear of intimidation or negative repercussions not only shows Ericsson’s commitment to grow beyond a dogmatic mindset but also be inclusive of diverse ways of thinking.

I see myself evolving into different technical avenues in the future thanks to the growth opportunities available here at Ericsson.

What I like the most

All meaningful work is hard work. That’s a quote I love to live by. That said there is a lot to like here at Ericsson. Working on concepts and designs that will be in communication products to be used by real people all around the world gives me joy and motivates me to do hard work every day. Also, the flexibility to work from home and also collaborate in the office where needed gives me a chance to balance my work and family life; something that is quite challenging. I believe I have a future here with Ericsson. One that is bright and worth looking forward to.
