After successfully recruiting for the Baseband team in Kraków, we have opened our next Hub—this time in the heart of Poland, in Łódź.
Do you enjoy tackling challenging tasks in the embedded world and working with cutting-edge wireless communication technologies? In our new Hub in Łódź, we are building a team dedicated to developing the physical layer (L1) for 5G and 6G networks.
Here, you will have the opportunity to co-create solutions responsible for real-time signal processing, enabling faster and more reliable communication between devices and networks.
The physical layer is the foundation of connectivity in 5G and 6G. It processes signals in real time, allowing for rapid data transfer and dependable connections between devices—making it a critical factor in how smoothly the entire network operates.
In RTE RU BB SW we will work on:
Product architecture – We define, document and enforce the product architecture for physical layer product with focus on L1 executing on radios
Features - We innovate, design, implement, document, test and integrate new physical layers functions.
Radio platform - In cooperation with Radio and ASIC we innovate, design, implement, document, test and integrate L1-Lower SW to new EMCA ASICs and HW
Radio platform & variants – We work on RAN SW e2e integration and verification of new radios
Product quality – We work closely with RP to have test frameworks and enforce processes, documentation and ways of working ensuring the development of efficient /high-quality code.
Competence Development – As we take care of our PEOPLE, we continually develop deep expertise in L1 technology, provide access to technical experts and training resources.
What do we do in L1?
The physical layer is the heart of 5G and 6G connectivity – it is responsible for real-time signal processing, enabling fast data transfer and stable communication between devices. What happens in L1 determines how smoothly the entire network operates.
As a team, we will be working on, among other things:
· Designing and implementing code in Baseband L1 for the latest generations of radios equipped with EMCA ASIC
· Developing algorithms that maximize efficient use of HW while achieving the highest possible energy efficiency
· The first mmWave radio supporting the open Open RAN standard
· Hybrid Beamforming
