Ericsson Research in Türkiye
The site actively collaborates with other ecosystem partners (local and international research collaboration with customers, universities, external companies/partners), applying the principles of open innovation.
Hexa-X, Hexa-X II, VERGE, DESIRE6G, TARGET-X, ROBUST-6G and many more Horizon EU projects have been handled by Ericsson Research team in Türkiye bringing a total grant of 2.3 M EUR.
There is a genuine value-add by Ericsson Research in Türkiye’s technology and innovation landscape, that is highly appreciated by Ministries, Universities, key institutions, and the ecosystem.
Local production in Türkiye
We manufacture key Radio and Transport products in Türkiye, including RAN Compute (Baseband & RAN Processor) units and E‑band MINI‑LINKs. Thousands of RAN Compute units have been produced and delivered, and hundreds of MINI‑LINKs have been shipped since late 2023.
With Türkiye’s 5G commercial launch in April 2026, localization requirements and demand are expected to grow further.
