This award honors the innovation and excellent performance of this solution which aims to help operators improve indoor coverage.

Erik Ekudden, VP and Head of Technology Strategy, Ericsson, says: “We are truly delighted to be recognized by GTI. The Radio Dot System is an Ericsson innovation to improve indoor network performance, which builds on our award-winning radio architecture and provides an extensive feature set.”

Rolled out with over 100 operators, the Dot is helping operators to improve mobile data throughput by up to 5 times, reduce dropped calls to zero, and reduce installation times. The Radio Dot System is a key differentiator of Ericsson’s Mobile Enterprise strategy to empower mobile and converged operators to deliver integrated cloud, connectivity and communications as-a-service to their enterprise customers.

Radio Dot System is an Ericsson small cell solution. This solution can fully integrate with macro mobile networks and leverage existing indoor wiring and outdoor cellular infrastructure. It has a small dot-shaped form factor design which makes it very discreet in any kind of deployment environment. It is the perfect solution to boost indoor user experience by enhancing coverage and capacity in in-building deployments.
