Interviews with 47 IT executives reveal how and where transformation is taking place within today’s ICT industry, and if they see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Perhaps no one in a service provider’s organization is grappling with as much change as the CIO. In the second half of 2015, we commissioned market intelligence firm IDC to carry out 47 interviews in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific to determine the mindset and concerns of today’s CIO. The qualitative, research emphasized open discussion with CIOs and other senior officers at communications service providers. We present the findings in a five-part downloadable series called “The Transformative CIO: The Power and Challenges of Change”. For anyone in the industry, it makes for interesting reading, and a chance to see how your opinions stack up against IT executives around the world.

In part 3 of the series, “Transformation Nonstop”, we examine the range of opinions surrounding transformation and the impact it’s having on organizations. We explore how service providers are changing from within to address user-centricity, the universal vision driving major change. CIOs give us their views on the debate over ICT, content delivery, datacenter outsourcing and cloud computing. The report also includes a discussion on the future of technology, customer demands and the need for constant transformation.
